Getting to know each other

We heard Italians didn't have snow this year and they where very sad about that. Here many of us were sad about having snow, because when it melts streets are very wet. Or if it's just 0 degrees, we'll be wet anyway. I personally like snow very much, but I understand them who don't. All in all snow was one of the first things we talked about when we started get to know each other.

It has been very nice to familiarize Italians and some of their habits, hobbies and other interests. For example: they have school on Saturday too -we don't and they eat dinner about 2-3 hours later than we. Still we have a lot in common with my host and it was very funny to notice that.

Our trip to Italy starts next Sunday and we are all so exited: today at school we started to be very nervous -in a good way of course! We wait impatiently to see Italians and if we have got them right, they have same enthusiasm as we do.

We'll see you soon, without Skype!

My experiences in and about Italy and feelings about this opporturnity.

I have been in Italy 3 times now. First time I was just a baby so I don't remember anything about that trip. After that, when I was six, we drove there from Finland by car and it was awesome! We had house rented for two weeks and we had time to visit different places in Italy. The third time was when I was 10. My godmother gave me that trip as a HUGE present and we went to Riccione, where I had been before as a baby. She has been a guide in Italy several years ago.

I think Italy is very beautiful country and I'm so happy to visit there again! I think I say this over and over again in my head, but this is so awesome thing for me and for our group. It is so cool to see the Italy's group, take pictures and learn the history of both countries! I have still pretty unreal feeling about this course: how can a school offer so fantastic opporturnity? It's hard to believe.

Thank you all, here we come Rome!
