This morning we hosted some Finnish
students from Kallion Lukio, Helsinki (Finland) during our Latin lesson
about Virgilius’s “Aeneid”, one of the most important poems of the Latin
literature. Initially we read the text, then we explained the plot, the characters and the importance of Fate. The Finnish students told us that there were some common features with the “Aeneid” and “Kalevala”, their national poem.
We
were very excited for the results achieved in such a short time and for
the new approach to comparative literature. This multicultural
experience has been very interesting, engaging and useful to develop new
skills, so we hope to have more opportunities in future.
